"Want to Bring It Home!" NetDragon’s Education Products Impress African Students, Exclaiming "Yaba"!

The China-Africa Cooperation Forum Summit will be held in Beijing from September 4 to 6. As a model of China's "education going global" initiative, NetDragon has been continuously deepening its focus on the African education sector in recent years, contributing Chinese wisdom to the local education transformation and development through leading digital education technologies.

To help international students learn more about China's cutting-edge digital technologies and education products, on August 28, several official media outlets in Fujian organized a visit for master's and PhD students from countries across Asia and Africa, including Nigeria, Ghana, and Pakistan. The students visited NetDragon's Changle base, where they had an in-depth experience of various digital education products and resources such as "AI Chinese Courseware", "Future Lab", "Most Beautiful Particle", and "101 Education PPT". This digital education experience tour left the students exclaiming, "NetDragon Yaba!"

"I believe AI Chinese courseware can bring engaging lessons to every student. I would love to take these education products back to my hometown so that my family and friends can also learn Chinese more efficiently," said Muktar Ukasha Zololo, a master's student from Nigeria, who deeply appreciated the application of technology in education and praised the fun and innovation of NetDragon's digital education products.

The AI Chinese teaching software is a Chinese language teaching tool independently developed by NetDragon using AI, 3D, and other technologies. It aims to address challenges such as heavy lesson preparation burdens for teachers, uneven teaching quality, lack of classroom interaction, absence of real-time feedback for after-class practice, and the high production costs of educational animated videos. Many Chinese teachers in Egypt who have used the software have called it a "Chinese teaching miracle".

In 2022, NetDragon, leveraging two "Intelligent Space" classrooms previously donated to the Menofia School and the Egyptian-Chinese Friendship School in Egypt, began offering live-streamed Chinese language lessons to local students. This live-streamed Chinese teaching experience recreated the classroom situation at that time.

To support the development of digital education in African countries, NetDragon has also tailored a series of innovative products for these nations. For example, in 2019, NetDragon signed an agreement with the Egyptian government to deploy 265,000 "Intelligent Space" classrooms. These classrooms are not only highly scalable and flexible but also integrate advanced classroom hardware and high-quality education products. By providing an integrated educational service solution, they aim to improve local educational environments and equipment standards.

Empowering Education with Technology - This is So Cool!

"Hello Tang Yu, can you introduce your company in English?"

In addition to experiencing digital education products, the international students also had a live conversation with NetDragon's digital human, the rotating CEO, Tang Yu, to experience the broad application of AI technology.

"With the help of AI, our learning will definitely be more efficient," joked Adams Ibrahim, a doctoral student from Ghana. "If she understands me, it means my Chinese is okay. If she doesn't, it means I need more practice with my Chinese."

At NetDragon's new technology experience zone, the international students also tried out cutting-edge technologies such as motion capture, AI painting, and virtual live streaming, gaining insight into NetDragon's philosophy of building smart education with advanced technology. A student from Nigeria praised NetDragon's "3E" (Effective, Efficient, Engaging) educational philosophy, saying that the way these technologies are applied in the education field is "so cool".

NetDragon Partners with African Countries,

Achieving "Positive Results" in Education Cooperation

As China and Africa increasingly collaborate in the field of digital technology, more and more internet companies from Fujian are actively participating in the construction of the "Digital Silk Road". They are responding to Africa's informatization development needs, sailing overseas with leading technologies and quality products, and promoting cooperation and development in the digital field between China and Africa.

Recently, Xinhua News Agency focused on the achievements of China-Africa cooperation, publishing the article "China-Africa Cooperation Forum - Bridging Mountains and Seas, Fujian Internet Enterprises Contributing to Africa's Digital Development", highlighting NetDragon as a key example. The report detailed NetDragon's business cooperation with African countries and affirmed that the company has "achieved positive results".

Since entering the education field in 2010, NetDragon has expanded its educational footprint to 192 countries and regions, with over 150 million users and more than 2 million classrooms. NetDragon has also actively responded to the "Belt and Road" initiative, establishing strategic partnerships with more than 20 countries involved in the initiative.

In 2017, NetDragon began exploring cooperation with African countries. It has since signed agreements for digital education solutions or engaged in deep collaboration with several African nations, including Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya. These collaborations include assisting the Nigerian government in the construction of the "Three Platforms and One Center" (National Educational Resource Public Service Platform, National Teaching Community Network Platform, National Digital Talent Development Platform, and National Future Education Experience Center) and signing a memorandum of understanding with the Ghanaian Ministry of Education to deploy a series of digital education solutions and services to support local educational development.

Dr. Simon Leung expressed that the prospects for China-Africa cooperation are vast. In the future, NetDragon will continue to respond to the "Belt and Road" initiative, leveraging digital technology as a key tool, and work with more African partners to promote educational modernization, contributing to the shared development and prosperity of China and Africa's education systems.
