NetDragon Model Shines in Landmark Sino-African Cooperation Guide

This year's Second China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo in Changsha underscored the deepening bond between these far-flung regions as it kicked off September 26th. Attendees were treated to the rollout of the thought-leading China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation: Case Studies and Plans guidebook on September 25th, setting the collaborative precedent.

Pioneering Chinese edtech firm NetDragon has amplified its educational partnerships across the African continent including Egypt in recent years. Now these success stories take center stage within the guidebook's "Tech Innovation and Digital Economy" section, providing a proven, sustainable, and scalable template. Furthermore, officials from Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce heralded NetDragon's "China-Egypt Digital Education Cooperation" case as Chapter #1 in their "China-Africa Cooperation in Fujian" series, lauding it as a milestone model of digital gains.

Expo Spotlights NetDragon's Smart Classroom Solution

The sprawling Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center - encompassing four indoor pavilions and an outdoor area spanning 64,000 square meters total - blossomed with the fruits of Sino-African cooperation.

Among the eye-catching China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Exhibition was NetDragon's miniaturized "Intelligent Space" prototype tailored for Egyptian educators. Developed in coordination with Egypt's Ministry of Education, this innovative classroom concept arose from NetDragon executives' 2018 trips to Africa for exchanges and infrastructure inspections.

At that time, nations like Egypt were boosting construction but high-quality educational resources remained scarce, and equity in access posed problems - issues Egypt's newly launched "Five-Year Education Reform Plan" of 2018 aimed to remedy through global partnerships assisting reform goals. The Intelligent Space emerged as a solution within this context.

"Its components function like educational building blocks housed in a containable space with expandability and flexibility for easy transportation and swift deployment," a NetDragon researcher explained. These advantages aim to accelerate distributing top-tier lessons affordably across developing areas and regions, supporting such nations' digital education upgrades.

NetDragon's Egypt Odyssey Chronicled in China-Africa Cooperation Guide

NetDragon first sewed seeds of digital partnership in Egypt as early as 2017. Momentum grew as that nation procured 27,500 Promethean Interactive panel from the firm the following year. Building on Intelligent Space precedents, NetDragon then rolled out a customized "software + hardware" solution there in 2019, committing to deploying 265,000 Interactive Spaces nationwide.

But when Covid-19 snarls hit schools worldwide in 2020, hybrid learning became a necessity overnight. NetDragon nimbly supported the Ministry of Education's expanded remote needs. That March, Edmodo - NetDragon's global learning community - became the designated platform steering all of Egypt's K-12 instruction online. A five-year contract extension cementing hybrid teaching protocols was soon inked that August. By 2021, NetDragon emerged top provider for the country's Chinese-as-second-language virtual academy as well.

With productive cooperation illuminating the Sino-African relationship, the comprehensively chronicled guidebook launched September 25th at the expo put such partnerships in the spotlight.

The collection - unveiled to showcase economic and trade ties between China and the continent over time - offers Chinese enterprises an international stage to showcase innovation while exchange experiences and solutions with African nations.

Within the tome's "Tech Innovation and Digital Economy" section, readers find highlights of NetDragon's pioneering digitization work alongside Egyptian educators. By profiling their collaborative successes, the featured case study aims to aid progress toward ever-closer educational and commercial relations under this cooperative spirit going forward.

The firm will probe incorporating AI and virtual worlds into hybridization's "new norm" as the globe shifts teaching terrain. Such testing on the extended Digital Silk Road may further sustainable growth on the continent through a model primed to energize Sino-African education collaboration in eras ahead.
