M.U.S.T. AND NetDragon Signed Cooperation Framework Agreement on Establishing Digital Innovation and Humanities Education Research Center
On March 14, 2023, the "Digital & Real Derivatives for Better Fuzhou" Meta Creative Week and a series of events were launched in Fuzhou. Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) was invited to attend and signed a Cooperation Framework Agreement with NetDragon to jointly establish the Digital Innovation and Humanities Education Research Center.
Guided by the concept of "Innovative Development", this event focused on new economic engines such as digital cultural tourism, Metaverse, art-creativity and digital sports. By grasping new formats and trends of digital culture, the "Digital & Real Derivatives" is presented through summit forums and art exhibitions. The event is guided by the Culture and Tourism Department of Fujian Province and hosted by the Management Committee of Fuzhou New District, Fuzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Changle District People's Government of Fuzhou Municipality, with the assistance of Fujian Cultural Enterprise Association, NetDragon Websoft Holdings Limited, Digital Education Town, and MANA Global New Media Art Platform.

At the opening ceremony, M.U.S.T. and NetDragon signed the Cooperation Framework Agreement to jointly establish the Digital Innovation and Humanities Education Research Center around the Metaverse industry, focused by Macau and Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. In the future, the two parties will leverage their respective strengths to achieve complementary cooperation and development, conduct basic research, train professional talents and promote digital innovation in interdisciplinary fields, such as digital media, humanities and arts.
Vice President Tong Ka Lok Delivers a Keynote Speech
Vice President Tong Ka Lok delivered a keynote speech on "Collaboration in Digital Cultural Innovation for Schools and Enterprises in Fujian and Macau" at the main forum. He stated that digital technology was accelerating its integration into various fields, such as global politics, economy, culture, education, the integration and innovation of digital technology and the real economy had become the key to the new round of technology and economic development competition worldwide. He hoped that through this event, the collaboration between schools and enterprises in Fujian and Macau could be effectively promoted, maximizing the power of digital innovation in both regions.

Zhang Zhiqing, the dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of M.U.S.T., elaborated on the interdisciplinarity of new media art at the forum, combining the discipline-integration feature of M.U.S.T.. Associate Professor Zhang Linming, the assistant dean of the Academy of Film, gave a special speech on how digital technology was reshaping social, artistic, and humanistic ecology. The conference also had the participation of Yu Jiali, the IUR project manager of the president's office.
